Site of the MacNeill
Home, the Hallowed Ground. Lucy Maud Montgomery
lived here from 1876 to 1911 with her mothernal grandparents, Alexander and Lucy MacNeill, after her mother's death and
after her father moved to Saskatchewan.
Green Gables House: LMM used this house as the inspiration
for Green Gables, which belonged to her grandfather's cousins. Attached to the property are Lover's Lane and the Haunted Wood;
Maud would walk the former during the evening at times.
Avonlea Village: A replica, of sorts, of Avonlea as LMM may have envisioned in her books.
Province House: The legislative building of PEI where
the Fathers of Confederation met for the very first time. On Road to Avonlea, its exterior was used to represent the military
academy Morgan Pettibone attended and was subsequently expelled from in Woman of Importance. In Happy Christmas,
Miss King/An Avonlea Christmas, it represents the dance hall where the Lieutenant Governor was hosting a ball in honour of
elocutionist Wilfred Ainsley, whom Hetty King was pursuing for her school concert.
Founder's Hall: A Canadian history museum.
L.M. Montgomery Institute at the University of
Prince Edward Island. Address: 550 University Avenue, Charlottetown
PEI National Park (parts of which are located
throughout the Island)

Lucy
Maud Montgomery Heritage Museum in Park Corner. This is the Hon. Donald Macdonald Farm where LMM's paternal grandparants lived.
As a child, Maud spent lots of time here. The china dog Magog which was mentioned in the Anne books, is housed here.
Anne of Green Gables Museum, aka Silver Bush is also located
in Park Corner. This was another place where Maud spent a lot of time, as this was the Campbell household, home to her cousins.
In 1911, her wedding to Rev. Ewan Macdonald took place here. Across the road is the Lake of Shining Waters.
Orwell Corner Historic Village museum. Some exterior shots - Jasper's
house and Avonlea church from the first few episodes were filmed here.
Basin Head Beach. Located in
Souris, some Dale cannery shots were took there
Gus' lighthouse, a Sea Cow Head Lighthouse. Located
just west of Borden-Carleton, this served as Gus Pike's lighthouse.
Dalvay-by-the-Sea. Located in Grand Tracadie, and part of PEI National Park, this served as the exterior of the
White Sands Hotel in the second Anne movie and on Road to Avonlea.
Ontario
Westfiled Heritage Village in Rockton, location of several Anne
landmarks (Hammond sawmill, Bright River station, general store)
Uxbridge. Site of the Nesbitt Farm, which served as King Farm
during RTA, the wide shots of Green Gables in the first two Anne movies, and as Lantern Hill; and
Pine Grove Community Church, which doubled as Avonlea
Presbyterian Church.
3967 Stouffville Road, Gormley. The bridge where Anne and Gilbert kissed at the end of Anne 2 is located here. Unfortunately,
the original bridge fell into disrepair, so a new one was built in the 1990s. Fortunately, the new bridge is identical to the old one.
Butternut Farm, Cedar Grove. It was used as Green Gables House in AoGG and RTA; its orchard was the King's orchard (see the
episode Conversions).
